ASR/Triton?

Now my homie has a triton and I want to use some of the sounds on it on my ASR. Now I dont want to use midi but is it possible to save the triton sounds to a disk and load them up on the asr? If so do i need to convert it to a certain format. Any info would help. thanks.

The disk formats are NOT compatible. Triton sounds will have to be placed on computer, epsdisk needs to be loaded on that computer, that's the only way you will be able to make an ENSONIQ format disk to put those triton sounds on. It's a PAIN and SLOW as heck. It's much easier if you just sample the line outs of the triton into the ASR line in's, trust me. Chop them up on the ASR and be done with it. If it's ALOT of samples them make sure you have a whole weekend free.. However you do it, it's NOT going to be easy. I ahve an ASR10, 2kxlse2 and Triton Extreme, I done this before and have taken ALOT of Tylenol while doing it.

Just bring your ASR over to your frinds crib, plug his outputs into the ASR's inputs, and sample away.
The easiest way would be to go onto ebay, type triton sample cd, and look for a kit list that someone else already made up. Trust me though, your really not missing anything.
