alright, how about if i want to for example start the song with just the melody then have it build up to the beat dropping. Do i need to have the tracks muted in my sequence or is there another way i can do this?

then also How can I pause up the kick and just have the snare and high hat riding with the melody for lets say the hook or whatever?

make your sequence01 then high lite the sequence if its not allready
then use the open window button(orange button)
then it will say copy/delete you want to copy then it will ask you to doit press doit then you will have sequence02 you should have the same sounds as sequence01

change sequence02 change it so it sounds different then seq01 do this as many times as you want each time changing each sequnce then goto song mode and insert sequnces there and give them reps

here you create your song

listen to your beat as you insert sequences
hope this helps this is my lamens term i think this is as simple as anyone can explain
hope this helps

Make copies of your main seq and change up each one.

Chain together in song mode all of those copies of changes ups and main seq's.

Once in song mode you cannot mute any tracks, you can only chain seq's already completed.
