really quick question.

its really hard to get a straight answer on this from the manuals.

can i do REAL-TIME filter sweeps on MPCs. i know the marketing blurb says the Q-Link can do realtime editing, but apparently on filtersweeps, it cant!!
i.e. take in a drum loop for example, and change the filter setting (cutoff freq) AS IT PLAYS, not change the setting and then wait until it is triggered the next time before it changes....

i dont mind if i cant do it with q-link, but if i cant do it with even an external midi cc control change then that could be a problem...
in particular the MPC1000??

thanks

You can record filter sweeps from external gear to the 1000

yes but will the sound change on the loop as it plays or will it only change when it is triggered the next time?

cheers

doesn't seem so.

right. bummer! even my old S2000 could do that...
not exactly a 'dealbreaker' but a pity nonetheless. it doesnt affect people making music with just hits but anyone using slices/loops etc it does. :( :(

listened to 1st track on your site. nice stuff man... jazzy, funky. with a nice bass line
cheers
