MPC INTO PC Question ?

i know u probably heard this qusetion many times i searched on here but nothing anyways i need to hook up the mpc into pc not for samples but to record with cool edit i got the midi cable plus some other audio cable
i was tryin to plug both the cables into the soundcard i have a emu 4040
but i had no luck please if some one can help i would apprectiate it

just plug the audio out of the mpc into the audio in on your soundcard,the midi part is over its now time to record the audio.

damn man that didnt work did i meantion i have a us-122 tascm hooked up 2 do i have to mess with the settings ? help

Can i ask u a question....Have you ever plugged another audio source to your PC before? Eg CD Player, Mini Disc anything with a audi output jack that u plug into the sound card.

Its not the MPC its your input settings on your soundcard menu.
Anyway its the same principle as if u was to plug another audio source to ya pc and listen to it as if u used you pc as a amp.

What penfold saying is where ya wanna be looking. Does your 0404 have a DSP Patchmix ? If so ya need to set up this. You need to insert strips telling ya soundcard what inputs ya using.. Good luck, and if ya still no joy come back with some specific questions..
