Trim mode Start point

I'm sampling from my turntable and when I keep the sample and go into trim mode the start point is already set at 4410 instead of 0. How did this happen and how do I change it?

I think that is because of the "threshold" set while in SAMPLE mode.
The threshold is the little star that indicates the peak level input.
That is the level you set at which the MPC goes into record mode.

Good idea Lampdog but I'm samping manually with the threshold set to the little infinity lookin sign. Nah what I mean? So that couldnt be it if I understood you correctly. Thanks anyway.

Got the answer on another forum if anyone is intersted.

"just turn down the "pre-rec" to 0 in the sampling screen before you sample"

Try checking pg. 90 int he 2kxl manual homie.. Maybe that can shed
some light on it..
