Im an original 2KXL owner with tons of beats on my zips. Anyways I got a hold of a USB zip for my PC in hopes of being able to slide them over from zips to my CF Card to play my 2KXL beats on the 1000. But when I goto open the PGM's in the 1000 they are invalid and I cant load any of the samples in them, wether they .snd or .wav they show up in the directory and show the file name but when I press the load buttton it does nothing/... any 2KXL owners... how did u transfer your old beats to teh 1000 succesfully?

Do u really want to know how?

1. The file names on the have to be 8 chars long. or they get truncated. (Windows Bu11shit) On the MPC2000XL
2. Save APS (if u use them) as seperate .PGM's and .ALL's as Seperate MIDI Files. Name them and organise them properly so u know that is what on the MPC1000
Also save PGMS and SOUNDS as WAV on the MPC....

3. OR.....One you have them on the PC...

4. Use AWAVE STUDIO or MPC PGM Creator to convert your SND's to WAV's (Better to do it first on MPC2000XL)

5. Transfer completed and processed files (MIDI , PGMS & WAVS) to the CF Card and load them up and volia.

6. Its a long process, its the only process there is no other way so dont ask.

7. and your welcome.
