rethink the types of records you are buying. Maybe you hate country music! :D

i keep them and put them in my "revist crate." youd be suprised, over time your ear changes, your feelings change, you improve skill wise, so something you didnt like now, might be hot later...........you never know. Give it some time, you might be suprised.

That could be true. Not everyone is looking for the same sounds.

Since I do most of my buying in the $.50 - $.99 bins, I take chances and buy some unlikely looking shtt. A lot of the time it doesn't work out, and I just put the unused record in my giveaway stack.
To me it's just like gambling, you have to be willing to lose here and there to keep playing the game.

But yeah, maybe I give those same records away, and someone else samples the shtt out of them - I don't know.

I'm not into carrying around the ttable though. I like waiting to get home and listen. It's like waiting til you get home to scratch off your lottery ticket.

Before you give up with any of them try playing them at the wrong speed, or backwards.

itchyvinyl, i feel what your sayin. I go to the $.95 records too....rarely do i listen to the records at the shop. I think thats how alot of catz are.

I think no matter what type of person you are though, you gotta go through records. The more records you go through, the more shit your gonna find that you will like. And just like the gambling tip, you increase your odds if you cycle through more records. Some records are complete shit, but definately keep those "revist" stacks.

You cant be lazy, but you cant force anything either.
