Saying that I aint seen the tracklist...I just heard a few tracks. That Diamonds thing is just a warmer. He has sumthing with Jamie Foxx thats meant to be the real single to front the album.

oh btw elma (uh oh I said his name again) music is meant to elicit (sp?) an emotional response. Kanye is one of the few artists currently out that does that for me(Jesus walks and that spaceship song). You can talk shop till you're blue in the face. Technical breakdown of art means nothing. Its kinda like mixing a show only using a TEF machine.

He is one of the reasons that sample-based hip hop is re-emerging in big label recordings. Realize regardless of your opinion of his music, he's opening doors for everyone using similair tools.

He hasn't done anything for you or i or any of the other cats here.He may produce for well established cats but what is he doin' for the next generation?I don't personally like Kanye but it's my taste nothing against hm.He's just another cat ridin' the wave known as commercialism.He does have some hot stuff but nothin' that's made me think he's the truth or the future of Hip Hop as i know it.

Gentrification. he's not doing anything for sample based hip hop except playing out a style that RZA pioneered and just Blaze was doing before kanye. He probably just signed a really rotten deal, where the Roc makes much more money off him than any other producer or artist, so they pimp him out hard rather than their other cats cuz he's cheaper in the contract.

The internet is cool sometimes and sometimes its not I like the article that Kanye wrote and I always stated my opinions regardless if it is unpopular or not. I don`t think its bad if someone likes or dislikes another producers work or catolog. I don`t think anyone`s ever met the dude on this board but if I did I for one would thank him for making It can`t be life and other songs that I estimate will be considered classics 6 to 10 years from now. I know that it is foolish to try to change anothers opinion cuz people have to change themselves but I believe in the 5 GOLDEN RULES.

5 GOLDEN RULES

1) Believe in yourself (cuz nobody else will)

2) Wish well to all (cuz what you say and do will come back to ya twofold)
a Kanye much success cuz I personally want to just as succeed
b Kanye I hate you but I don`t want anyone to hate me when I make
Shizam (Poof) I`m on top now everybody hates me now

3) Be careful for what you wish for (cuz it may come true)

4) The best revenge is success why waste time when I can innovate, create and learn from the best and beat them at their own game.

5) No one stays on top forever cuz someone much hungrier will knock you off next year so keep striving and your turn will come.


Let Kanye do his thing and inspirate the next future producer who will take hip hop to the next level. I have to recognize not too many major rappers or labels were trying to hear no sample based production in the 21st century. All of those key beats were driving me crazy and some of the underground didn`t bump right cuz the mofo was rapping some off the wall **** that most people didn`t want to discipher or the rhyme was good but the beat wasn`t saying nothing. This Can`t be Life is the Kayne beat that really moved me at least. My opinion though. Let those who want to talk about production talk about improvement at least.

I used to hate the sampling thing. I thought producers were hijacking somebody elses ish. Especially Puff. Dude took the whole damn instrumental.

But after my man L introduced me to some of his work when he was working with Krumb Snatcha ,D&D and them. I got moved by it. Then I heard dude nottz down in VA. I got some of his work that wasn't released. (Strict fire) I got moved even more.

As far as Kanye I think he is a good producer. But just not my style. I like a few of his songs but overall I'm not a fan. I give him respect for being good at what he does. But his sound is just not my style.

i think kanye is a good producer all or most of his shit is hot to me but i think a lot of cats let the hype of kanye over shadow guys like the rza dr dre and 9th wonder these guys make constant fire but any as far as the article i think he should have talked more about the beats dre did on game's album cause i think game is a terrible rapper but dre's beats made him hot and not 50's guest appearences on the album like he said on hot 97

I believe the exact opposite... Game is a dope rapper, but the production on his album served him no justice... thats my opinion though, i'm sure someone will wanna debate that one

Dre only produced 4 tracks on Games album, "Start From Scratch" was the hardest imo.
