what rack sampler to accompany my 60?

looking to get another sound for my loops compared to my drums, and was looking at the S950's or 1000's or 3000's even

ideally one of those Emax HD SE's would be what I really want, or an SP1200 cha ching

or should I just use the ASR 10 that I have coming to me this summer?

without starting another topic, what kind of mixer would be good also? I'm looking to check these records I have out and all I have is a turntable and my 60, plus my computer *gasp* but I'd like to go from the turntable straight into the 60 and realize I need a decent mixer....holler

im waiting for my 60 after parting with my 2kxl and have a asr10... i cant wait to have the 60/asr setup... i heard they work well together so u might just wanna stick with that... as for a mixer.. i just rock a behringer ub2442fx mixer... behringer doesnt have the best rep in mixers but mine never let me down and for such a big mixer it was pretty cheap at like 280...

Yeah, with an ASR, if you learn it well, you wont need another rack.

Emax's are great, but ASR 10's are one of the best samplers ever made IMO. I dont have one yet, but I will probably end up with an ASR a few years down the road if no new samplers get me the features i want.

depends on what sound you want right, if u want lo-fi go with the 950 or the emax...

if u want 16bit just use your ASR they r dope....

as for a mixer i use a mackie 1604-vlz and can highly recommend it for ease of use and good used prices

I just bought an E-mu ESI-32 Rack sampler with maxed memory.

if you want efficiency go with a EPS-16 rack - got dumb filters - listen to Mobb Deeps Infamous album......

if you want grime and filth go with the EMAX 1 12 bit sampler it's raw as fuk and it is like having an sp-1200 with over a minute of sample time - no lie they sound nearly identical!!!

if you want a companion and a good friend to you 60 then definitely cop the S900 or S950 - preferably the latter of the two......my mpc-60 and s950 got married and gave birth to a Tascam 1516 board.....hahahah

If you're getting an ASR 10, then the EPS 16 becomes prety redundant. Get to know the 60 and ASR, I can't see you needing another sampler.

Artifacts between a rock and hard place has 60/S950 all over it.

Had a S950 for 3 years now and I love it, as you've already got a 60 can't see you disliking the sound, plus it's got filters and time strech. E-max is meant to have the same sampler as the SP1200 in it from what I've been told (could be wrong though) but I've found it harder to edit and program than the 950 and so have mainly used it as a controller keyboard, but now I've got the 60 I want all three of them working, plus 950's are going for peanuts at the moment. Try and get to have a go on one first but I'd say the 950 over a 1000 or 2000 anyday
