Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

sup

ive just updated my os (to v1.20) on the 2kxl and everytime i start it up it asks for a disk?? when i insert the disk its ok but it seems stupid that ive got to do this everytime i start up.

does any1 else have this problem?

Stick with OS 1.14. It's more stable.

ye nice 1 mate its fine now

just needed to hold rec and over dub like the article said then reload the bin file and its sweet as

phew i was brad pittin my pants cos im selling it back to my bro now i got the 1000 (i must now leave the 2000/xl forum and never return lol)

No matter what you do your going to need the OS to start the mpc. I found that the best way to overcome this situation (if i read your problem correctly) is to save your files to the same (zip, floppy,etc) that your OS is on. It aint much but it eases the burdon of having to load your OS and then your programs and sequence. I hope i helped your prob.
