I have a 2 bar loop that I like and want to make as my "body" of my beat...only thing is I want to make it longer, right now it's only 2 bars and that's not alot to work with to put some drums and a bassline over it. I cant re-sample more because then the loops doesnt sound good. Any help would be fan-didddly-astic

you are asking us how to show u how to make beats!

here some tips.

1. cut or chop it up and replay it with different arangements.
2. timestretch maybe, depending this might phukit up!
3. look for other samples that sound similar and add to it.
4. use a keyboard with some good sounds to play round with to add more flavour
5. most importantly the best one ever i can tell you, in fact ots so important that u have to look down to know!!

do you have the loop already in the mpc? if so, just lay that out across the 2 bars on track 1 with nothing else then go to seq edit (mode + pad 13); select the "BARS" tab (F2) then make sure you have "from sq ?" (where ? is the sequence number you are working on) and "first bar: 1" and "last bar: 2" then move the cursor over to the right amd make sure the "to sq:" is the same number as "from sq:" then select "after bar: 2" and then the last thing is "copies" select the number of copies you want to make, keeping in mind for each copy, it's adding 2 bars to your seq.

hope this works
