DVD to AUDIO

I want to use audio off of some Dvd's, Does anyone know of a converter that will do this? I want to work inside the computer. All help will be Appreciated!!!!!

Why don't you run a dvd player into your mpc then into your computer?

worth 30 bucks if you plan on rippin a lot of DVD's

whats up death, check out Xilisoft DVD Audio Ripper. with this you can choose the chapter you want to rip from your dvd and you have a choice of ripping it to wav or mp3. do a search for the demo.

but i'll save you some time.
1. cue up the part you want to record
2. open up any audio recording application (you can even use windows sound recorder)
3. hit record
4. save the file
5. voila

(this is the quick way...the other options on the site involve ripin software, just as bb sound said)

Good lookin out peeps, I been buying a few $1.00 Dvd's, black & white and just old ish in general for strings and sound bites then realized I wasn't sure how to rip em! Thanx again!

this would be the best way the mpc would already turn it into wav. form shoot that sh-t straight into your computer and there u go

Rippin audio from a DVD has some advantages, some DVD's have the soundtracks encoded apart from everything else so if there's a nice sample but the dumbass actor keeps talkin over the part you wanna sample you can rip just the music instead of all of the audio in general

Yeah cooocoo1 that's what I'm tryin to do. I didn't really want to run it from the Dvd because I wanted to save to hard drive for future manipulation (more space) . Thanx Fellas for the support!!

Dam I could jus run the audio into Sound Forge or Wavelab and record there! More ish to try. Thanx Again!!!

LIke the man said, it has BIG advantages. With just a little know how it can be an EXACT copy of the original.

Hopefully ya'll can help me understand this a little better. Are you guys saying that a DVD has separate files for dialog and music? Or are you guys talking about manipulating the 5:1 outputs? I saw a few programs for windows that can rip each channel of surround sound audio separately, but none for Mac. Some info would be greatly appreciated...

yea i suggest doom9.org man, that has the most on ripping dvds and tutorials and easy to use programs that are low level enough to ge tsomething good out of em
