I recently purchased a Mackie CFX mixer.

I can't get a good signal to my mixer from the MPC for some weird reason. I've tired all I can think to do. By the way I don't have a manual with the mixer. The tracks are not loud.

I have not brought my snale cable yet I'm running 5 pads in to one out on the mpc/mixer.

They only time I can get a signal to where my mixer plays the beat loud in when I press the Solo PFL button when this function is pressed all it does is play that track loud.

Okay thanks.

I have a question for you...or two!

1) What kind of leads(Cables) are you using...Balanced or Unbalanced?

2) Is this mixer of yours one with Balanced or Unbalanced inputs?

sometimes this can have a bearing on the signal strengths as greater impedence can be introduced into a signal path by mismatches....
Not a major issue...but as Brother Bravo said...

CHECK your Gain structure...Sound is to be thought of as a Train Travelling on Tracks...

Sound= the Train
Cables=The Tracks
Gear=The stations.

If at any point, the tracks are compromised....the train wont get where its going as it should...& some times not at all!

Make sure the Source siganl is HOT....but no distorted (Unless thats what ur aiming for).
Make sure the Gain isnt set to High at the input of the Desk as this can introduce noise into the cahin of signals & noise in a chain is Cumulative.

Bottomline....at every stag of the Chain, there must be a smooth handing over of signal from one 'Station to the Next Station'...

Hope this helps a little....if not a lot!
