I have had my mpc 1000 for only three days now, brand new, and while i was working on my latest project, all of a sudden some of the buttons stopped working. now i can't stop the music when it is playing and two of the cursor buttons do not work either. I'm sure there are others but i do not know what to do. could it be a corrupted sample or what? Can anybody help me?

if some of your buttons stopped working, why don't you return it to where you bought it from. If you bought it new, take it back and exchange it

Wait a minute, so you're saying if something does not work, that i can take it back? Wow! Thanks a lot, you just completely solved my problem. I wish i was as smart as you. Can anybody tell me something that i didn't know?

yo ammo read below:

sparq wrote:...TO ALL THE NEWBIES ON HERE THAT TRY TO COME ON AND START RUNNING YOUR MOUTH, DISSIN PEOPLE THAT'S BEEN ON HERE FOR A WHILE, DON'T DO IT. People here are trying to help you. If you keep doing it, there might be a time when you really need help and no one will be willing to help you.

So just calm down. If you don't like what a person says in their response, ignore them.

Your mpc is just fine. If you want the buttons to work, you need to hit them really really hard. If your fingers don't work, then try a hammer or other heavy object. I find that when I get a really good boner, if I wack the pads with it, I get great results. And it feels good too.

The other thing you could do is wait for the warranty to run out then worry about it...

Is that the response you were looking for?

Hope I helped!

I'm finding it tough to understand why someone would actually go thro the effort just to post that as a joke.
Either that or damn.... he needs help man (and if thats the case i really do feel for you man). Good luck with yo mpc-ing
