I don't know about that but, when I was stationed out in Cali, them mo fo's would talk out the side of their neck about shiznit they don't know about. I'll give it to them though, they do have alot of gear to test and try out. If you do want to get some gear, use cash and don't go on thier credit plan. You'll pay about twice what you shiznit cost after about a year.
It's a lil off the subject but, ya know...

them sam ash fags lied about that eb16 card I was trying to cop from 'em... called up musicians friend (which is a great dealer btw- and fast as fu<k too) and the broad on the other end said that they were sold out...so naturally I called sam ash and the dipshit there said that akai was no longer making them and that if somewhere had them then they were lying and trying to rip me off...soooo....he then gives me this long distance phone number and a sku number and tells me to call this so and so place....well....I later on called back musicians friend and the guy said that not only was akai still making them but they had a few in stock...so I just bit the bullet and bought one....to my suprise, i got it the next day approximately one hour form the time I called!.....and athis isnt even the first time sam ash tried to pull the okey doke.....when I was in he market for a mpc2kxl...they fag on the other end tried to tell me that the mpc was overrated and outdated(this was 1999 btw) and that I should invest in one of them piece of sh1t Roland Vs things and swore up and down that he did session work with with the Fugees and they made beatss with this ......I got some stories about that place....and dont get a nikka started on Guitar Center.....

dog, I think Musicians friend and guitar center are the sam peeps:
why: EXACT same sale items at the same time.
They carry and do not carry the exact same items
if you want to backorder at guitar center they can and will direct you to the website, which takes you right to musicians friend.com (try it, go to guitarcenter.com and try to order online).

MAN FUKK SAM ASH, THEM **** AINT SHYT. THEY TOLD ME the MPC'S REAL HARD 2 LEARN AND THAT I NEEDED A KORG KEYBOARD 2 MAKE southern rap MUSIC. I ENDED UP COPING A BULLSHYT KARMA AND THEN BOUGHT THE MPC , 6 MONTHS LATER FROM AMERICAN MUSICAL SUPPLY. THATS the best place 2 cop gear at. I wish i would have had a computer when i made that karma purchase. I could have bought the mpc 1st then a triton later since it went down in price.

most online music spots are run from a few "parent companies". Somehow the geniuses in congress many years, decades ago decided it would be a good idea to allow one company to own several smaller compaines that did business across state lines and allow them to use multiple fictitious names (which just means that as I Dr.FOO I own a store I call "music the hutt" or whatever, that is a "fictitiuos name" since my 'real' name is Dr.FOO and i aint calling it DR. foo's music the hutt").
this is: for taxes, for accounting (so if guitare center has a huge loss this 1/4 I can use say, musicians frineds profits, move some $$$$ around creativly and it looks like guitar center made money and musicians friend made a little less, think ENRON accounting style of moving capital gains to other places and deferring stuff from profitable years to not so profitable years to up earnings, etc. this is shady. If you ask the peeps at guitar center they deny affiliation with musicinas friend, which aint a lie. They dont really "own them" guitar centers parent corp., owns both guitar center and musicnas frined, so they are the same store, and they arent, at the same time, shady.
