if you have more then one keyboad youll just need to make that known on the mpc and name a folder motif and triton so you know what you are looking for and where it came from, easy! when you have only one keyboard then youll find it not hard to find what your looking ill creat a folder on the mpc and name it (jumpoff) then on the motif ill do the same thing. since motif song mode can hold about 64 songs you will only use it for songs your gona runn out of seq space on mpc just for the fact youll use more than one seq space to get stuff to sound right so what i do is on my motif name the song mode file as jump off(thats all 64 spaces) and like i said with the mpc name the seq mode folder the same thing jumpoff. Now on the motif when i use a seq space i might call that song MPC banger ill do the same thing on the mpc. now the catch here is the fact that you know youll use up more space on the mpc then the motif so what you do is when you fill up the 99 slots on th the mpc you might of only used 15 on the motif so now just create a new 99 spaces on the mpc and call it jumpoffpart2 or whatever just to let yourself know this is a cont. of the first part and if you didnt find the beat on the first 1-99 is should be in the next. since this is in a folder it keeps everything away from each other clear. so all in a nut shell this is what i do create a fold on the mpc and open it turn my motif go to song mode make beat on the mpc and the motif when it comes time to save it ill just use a user space on the motif and how ever many i need on the mpc....ill name them both the same thing from there ill have the saveall on the mpc ill name a sub name of what ever i name my folder jumpoff1 on the motif ill just name the allsong as jumpoff( because when the 64 slots get filled i just start a new name)save all my mpc kits and what not in folder called jumoff. this make it easy to find stuff and keep it away from others....
Beatz is life and life is beatz, so when you tell me to "get a life" you must mean make another beat.
