MPC200xl note variation problem Help!!!!!

I think my note variation slider might not work or may be stuck on the low range. here is whats up.

I put a piano note on pad 40/A05
then i push shift and assign and i get to the note variation
parameter screen. I assign tuning as the parameter and go back to the main screen. but when i hit the pad and move the slider nothing happens except that the note stays in the low range. If i change the low range in the parameter screen the note changes but the slider seems to be stuck on low. Am i missing something? Thank you for the help.

just broken. It's getting repaired free of charge. I really hope the music store doesnt have to send it off to get fixed. I want it back soon.

My NV slider just did this same thing tonight! I am angry. Was it an easy fix? Can I do it myself? Thanks.

Its just a standard fader. You could probably do it yourself but im kinda a wuss when it comes to hacking things up. I sent it off and it took a few weeks. When it was broken every time I looked at it I had a little pit in my stomach feeling knowing it wasnt perfect. Funny thing is is I really dont even use it much.

Just to clarify, if you're confused. (no idea if you are, but it seems like you may be)

The MPC NV slider does NOT bend notes. It only changes the tuning at which a sample is triggered, when assigned to tuning. That means if you constantly hit a piano pad as you move the NV slider assigned to pitch on that pad, it should play random notes.

It will not bend notes, period.

If you already knew this, good for you, and you'll need the fader or the connection examined.
