Mpc4000 Ranting

I have got to get this off of my chest!!!!


It would be out of this world if you could audition actual programs befor loading them!!! It would streamline my whole creative process. DAM Im'm sure this has been mentioned a trillion times, but I had to say it, out of shear frustration, BTW, I had a post offering a trade for my mpc4000, I left that alone becuase my 4000 screen blinks. Off and onreally fast, Sh#t just be twweaking here and there, and I didnt wanna stick anyboy. (bad karma) Anyhow it worked out, becuase I really like this beast alot now!

Did you check to see if the ribbon that connects your LCD screen to the motherboard is inserted all the way? It could've been pulled loose when you lifted your MPC's hood.

Yeah unfortunately my ribbon is all the way in, I went as far as replacing the ribbon all together, witch did not help either. I will one day have to have it serviced. No biggie right now.


BUT DAMMIT AKAI GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER AND ALLOW US TO AUDITION PROGRAM FILES!!!!

This is waht I expected when I read of the auditon feature four years agou. I took them 3 1/2 years to implement it, in a half assed way.
