Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Hi all,

I've just got an MPC2KXL over the weekend, and really need to have a zip drive. I've heard that the XL can take up to a 250 MB one.

Is this true, and if so, is it ok, or is it a risk?

oh, here's the one I was thinking of getting:

Cheers for any pointers chaps and chapesses.

Go for it. Get a ribbon cable for it to connect to your 2kxl board also. Same type ribbon cable you have on your hard drive in your computer.

Any suggestions on where I could get an EXTERNAL zip compatible with the 2000xl. I was told that you need to get SCSI 2 zip 250...but all I see all over the internet is SCSI 1. Can anyone help please./

they're all the same mane, yow mean?.....thats just the jumper setting for the drive which you can change yourself....why dont you just get an internal one with the kit? its not hard to install and its alot easier to set up than an external one......
