making instruments sound really fat and loud

mpc tutor had some tutorials on chopping a loop from a real drummer, dont know if any of you knowwhat i am talking bout, but the kick in that tutorial was just rediculous, it was so f in heavy, my ns10s were flying out, and the volume of the kits were loud, how the hell do you do that

O mighty one, the akai disk sounds like wheatabix compared to that. one more thing, where can get some 950 samples. :shock:

It might have been some EQ and Normalization applied to the samples before presenting them to the public.. Maybe, I don't know for sure what was done, it's just a guess..
