Hello,
i am in the process of getting a motif keyboard to use with my MPC 4000, but now i am in a debate between the motif and VST. I was at a friends studio and he was showing me VST synth I was liking the way things sounded, plus all you basically needed was a midi contoller!
After he showed me the VST it sort of changed my mind on what to do??
I was wondering would it be a better investment to go with vst for my apple power book and just use a midi controller
or
invest in the motif keyboard.
Plus, can I midi vst to do all my sequencing on the MPC as if it where a regular synth modue connected to them MPC. Then would I be able to record all this into pro tools!
Just want to know what would work better(especially sounds..strings guitars, synths, pianos,etc...I know the motif has great sounds), and be the better investment in the long haul...because I had a triton and sold it months ago..tired of the debate between triton, motif, roland..plus the size of these work stations taking up space and being obsolete sounds wise once the next latest and greatest comes along!!
suggestions please!
Thanks,
head034
PS: my set up: MPC 4000, Roland XP50, DA7 mixing console, apple power book w/ external hard drive, MBOX/protools , midi man
If plus if i incorporate the VST, what hardware would i need??
