Anybody else wondering what the fuk happend to the sacred SNARE drum? I swear like 90% of the sh!t i'm hearing these days has nothing but claps, snaps or some other bullsh!t ass click noise replacing my beloved snare. I want to know what the fuk is going through these serial offender's minds?

All these damn beat heads and not a damn beat posted in site.......c'mon people where is all the sharing and sh!t. I'm trying to hear some ill sh!t. Get off your damn computer for 5 hours and create something rather just sit her and share technical support.

As you were.....

Not at all Elm- Just wondering why there are so many proclaimed beatmakers on this forum and i'm sraping the bottom of the music box with a spoon looking for anything worthy of a listen. Not saying my sh!t is all that but at least I try to stay productive on the regular! And sharing with the public is an important aspect of being an artist. It's selfish and greedy to consider yourself an artist and retain all the goods. The great spirits will be upset!

You are right, but I'll be sharing with everybody soon enough.

I still use snares, none of this kick clap nonesense, or them weak ass fingersnaps. it comes from guys who just use triton drums and they played out all the snares so they went to the claps, then to the snaps when the claps got played.

I blame the ineptunes.

for real. i dont really see the point in it either..unless your really trying to network/sell beats online. once in awhile a remix gets uploaded. like this one - www.soundclick.com/bands/3/fluent.htm ...the beat is an excerpt off a beat tape i just made..just a 10 minute job, nothin serious, ghostface and rae over my track. anyway lately ive been making alot of beat tapes , if there was a way to 1. upload an hour of music and 2. know for sure that some clown isnt picking and choosing what tracks to rap on for his fake mixtape  ..then id do it. but theres not so these tapes collect dust

there are some dope beats posted lately. also loads of sh*t but thats normal as there are lots of starters, bad beatmakers and wannabees. thats regular stuff on music forums.
You can learn from the sh*tty beats by listening not how to do it

it's called recording voiceovers on your beats. "you are listening to _____, for more info on this artist please visit _______. biters, don't even think about it." or something like that. not that hard to do, really.

i once tried to listen to some of prism's beats where he had a voiceover talking some cr*p like that and it bugged the shyt out of me to the point of not wanting to hear any of his beats ever again. but - i tend to go to the extremes over stuff like that.

i've posted a couple of beats, some unfinished stuff, but i haven't bothered to get anything up for a while. there are a couple of reasons:

-they sound awful compared to how they should sound (crappy soundcard)

-i'm a lazy bastard

-last but not least : what's the point?

I share my music, but not with just anybody. I got some core crew that hear my shyt and that's abou it. i'm not about to just let anybody hear it until I'm sellin them.
