I bought mad books and read mad magazines when i first started and its helped alot for me to get me making decent music. WIthout that info i wouldnt be half as good as i am, or half as knowledgable as i am about production and recording. Read and digest every piece of info you can about this **** to make u more well rounded. Read interviews, magazines, websites, anything. Cause there is no cheat sheet to making good tracks, but a helping hand and info and insights to what other cats are doing is key to becoming better at anything.
I agree 110% cuz many professionals had help along the way and they were very good at observation. I bought the book before and summing, merging, and laying came more into play as for as clarification on what to do. To be the best, learn and innovate from the pros or as least intern until you got a basic grasp of what you`re doing.
Open mind can learn the simplest of things from anybody.
