Yo all,
Is there anyway in the 4k that you can set the length of note to be played before recording?(Im talking about 'note lenght', not 'quantize' (obviously you can record in and then sort out the duration)

So,say, setting a key so it will play only 8th note, lengths of note, record the riff/phrase in and voila!?
cheers

hy quest - go into step edit or seq edit ancd checkout oprion (f1) ... you can set 'Duration of recorded notes' to AS PLAYED or to a TC VALUE from 1 to 200 % ... so if your quantize is set to 1/8ths and TC VALUE to 100 % they i ll all be recorded duration 480 - if ya set it to 50 %& they all be 240 ... also nice to insert quarter note there ... set quantize to 1/8 and 200 % ... hth

Hi Altopiano,
Totally cool man!, cheers. You can work on the 4k 7 days a week with manual in hand for time, and still miss stuff! I thought the beast would do that duration thing for me
:D
