Import MPC 1000 from Japan?

Import MPC 1000 from Japan?

Whatup fellow MPC heads!

I live in Norway, and up here... The Akai MPC 1000 costs 6.000 $ !!!
So, my two choices are either order one from the US, or import one (alot cheaper) from Japan.

Now, my questions.


If I order one from Japan, the OS will be probably be in Japanese. That's something I can't read! Hehe.. So, does anyone know if it's possible to just download a new OS from akaipro.com or whatever, and get it on english?

I bought My MPC in Japan when I was stationed there. The manual is in english and Japanese. Don't worry you will be alright as long as your counrty has the power requirements.

6000 BUCKS?!? MAN!! Haven't they figured out that nowadays you can circumvent that price gouging with the internet? Geez..... :roll:

6,000 Norwegian Kroners is about $947.68 USD. If you do get one from the US or Japan, think about shipping and customs charges. you will wind up spending more than 6,000 anyway. you should just buy it there as here in the states they average between $850 - $1000 USD.

You're not going to save any money by getting it anywhere else.

Oh, no. It's 6.000 US dollars for one up here. It's sick! That's like 12500 norwegian kroners.

Are you saying that in Norway, the mpc cost 12,500 Kroners? if so that is only $1975 US dollars. If that is not what you are saying then in Norwegian Kroners, how much is the MPC?

its not in norwegian but you can choose swedish if that will help..

the mpc1000 costs 922.00 EUR there.

Hey i got a chinnese friend , does anyone know where to get a MPC1000 in china Hong Kong as he doesnt seem to know much about music gear,, or is it called something else there
