Today, I was digging at "Value Village" and I found a
99% MINT CONDITION copy of Rebel Yellby Billy Idol. It had the original record sleeve and the cover didn't have a single scratch on it. It was only 50 cents, so I bought it. Eyes A Face is the best song on there.

I like Billy Idol man, he had great tunes, and linn drums all over his shyt.

Eyes without a face is a great tune, I always liked dancing with myself.

The only Billy Idol stuff I dug was his band in the late 70's called Generation X. It was some early sorta poppy punk rock. Somewhat ahead of it's time. It would sound pretty at home on rock radio today.
Actually, "Dancing With Myself" was orignally recorded by Generation X.

Not to be a dik, but I thought that original post was a joke.

I know it sounds kind of gay, but he had some good tunes. It was only 50 cents. What's the deal?

I just like the way in "Rebel Yell" he manages to make the word "more" have two syllables ...... & the way he points at the camera to show off his fingerless leather gloves in all his videos.

No offense from my end. I have far cornier things in my collection.
It's just that these kinds of forums, dudes are usually boasting about the rare Funk 45 from 1969 that they got......not New Wave stuff from 1984.

Yes. I'm sure there are some people here who think you aren't supposed to sample any track recorded after midnight on December 31st 1979..... , & only then if it is the original pressing.

nah its just a crate digger forum usally suggests that the cats are digging in crates. Billy idol records are just as rare as fifty cents new record. Its kind of a joke to be like YO I FOUND THIS HOT BILLY IDOL RECORD! OR ELTON JOHN JOINT! its like newbie crate diggin on steroids. No offense :P Most forums like this are about rare records that arent seeing the light of day, not shit that people pay a nickel to get rid of cause they were and are so popular. Like the 5,000 limited pressing rare joints that go for like $60 at most record stores. Not barry manilows greatest hits which sells for $.25
