Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

hey...ive found alot of good samples i want to use. i just got a couple of questions... could some one please explain "chopping" for me, and also is their any way lets say i put some sample and make the melody like 3 bars is there anyy way to get it so the sound fades down towards the end of the loop?...thanks for the help.

You can make zones of the sample and place them in order and the last couple of zones that play you can make the volumes lower and lower until and the end of the loop it has completely faded out. Zones can be done in the TRIM screen.

Chopping is just slicing up a sample/loop to get the exact hit/sound you want out of it. It might be something all different to someone else though.

use decay to get the sample to quieten at the end.
