what to look for when record shopping

ma dude ask me what i looked for when shopping for records which made me curious about others methods. me i look for the time the record was made. one reason is because i really dont kno about a good record (not to be comfused wit good music) seein that all the sh!t ive sampled is before my time so i just look for that sound of a certain era of time. so who has the dope sh!t.

get stuck in a rut with that method.
Personally, about half the stuff I pick up I have some knowledge of a player, a producer, songwriter, label etc. The other half is just intuition.
