emerson lake palmer is not a 'dope as hell' find though (to me) , same shit anyone sees while digging in the 25 cent box. no disrespect to anyone but its real hard for me to imagine being motivated and inspired to dig for shit like billy idol and ELP
its not even about dropping $50 on a record, you can dig around those high prices if you really try. I've found mad disco/funks LPs, library LPs, all this rare shit for $4-$8 a pop just searching around, but its alot more random on what you stumble across then say, "i'm going to try and find this certain LP" which then you either get mad lucky and find it at some backwoods shop, or you end up paying $30 for it on ebay. but ive also had the chance to have good friendships with store owners of ill spots around me (something everyone should look into). sometimes you need to come outta your pocket anyway if you want some shit that not alot of heads are up on, thats just part of diggin

though we try to keep that to a dead minimum, savin that for shit you really really want. but yeah the point is crate diggin, not these walmart digs and shit
but i guess at the end of the day its strokes for folks
