just how slow is the usb method of moving data from the mpc to the pc or laptop?

also, would a cf card be compatible with the information below:

SD CARD Slot: SD-bt CARD (pn:pa3271u-1btm)
SD memory capacity support from 8mb to 512mb.

How much would a card reader be and can you purchase external ones if it wont fit in the laptop?

thanks.

USB connection is a bit slow.

Card reader is fast.

how slow is a bit slow? would it take me ten days to get a beat onto my pc?

by slow do we mean the geeks like penfold's notion of slow or the average joe who isn't as anal's concept of slow.

i am i am i am,

oh yeah....

TeeDubya, u wont be abled to get everything in a day, so be kool about it
Start one step at a time, I hope the RAM u got was to the specification to twhat was mentioned in the RAM INFO thread. Whe u go Digital Village make sure they throw in some leads for free, to hook up to a normal hifi via the AUX, u need phono(male) to quater inch (stereo or two mono leads) wirh regards to sampling just get a cheap and cheeful numark or gemini mixer from cash convertors oe ebay you can use the same lead for that too, so get as much as u can i say around a pair of 4 (really 3) but just incase u want to add something else like a keyboard. u be suprised with a two channel mixer (phono/line 1 and 2=4 channels) you can add use that to sample play back and play another snytn/kyeboard and the turntable all at the same time.

anyway for cheap pc parts www.ebuyer.co.uk they are really good.
