Dr.Dre & 5 MPC's

I read that Dre may use 5 MPC's at a time. With this being known, and I have a MPC 2000 and a 2000xl, how can the two be used together?

Dre uses 5 because in each one he has different sounds prevent him from loading and unloading programs if he was to only use one. These are probably hooked up to a Pro Tools HD system with like 96 I/O combining the different sounds on to one session.

he uses several MPC3000´s. a 3000 has less memory, less programs etc.. then a 2000. dj Shadow for example has two 3000´s and he used all two of them together for a drumpart on high noon (i guess it was high noon). He synchronizes the 3000´s and tracks to adat. I guess dre does this similar but maybe he doesnt need to track to adat (or something else) so many times as he has more amount of memory/samples.

might aswel get 1 4k. but i think these old school producers (dre, quik, etc.) are computer illitrate. thats y they still rocking them old mpc's.

lets not forget that with all that equipment, dr. dre has failed to make an original sounding beat since the mid 90's.....

2k and 3k has same amount of memory. 2kxl can use four drum tracks at the same time, but program change will take care of that on 3k. top notch producers dont need an 'all in one machine' like 2kxl, when they have studio full of equipments. they just need each machine to do their job and do it well. would you pick a casio watch over rolex just because it has more 'functions'?
