Sampling while Listening to sequence

Is there a workaround for this? The ASR-X PRO does this easily, the MPC2000xl should be able to.

I want to simply play a bassline into the MPC while listening to the sequence. I have a feeling this is a major oversight no one talks about.

use the second sequence key.
or press over dub and play then you can record on a new track while listening to what you already recorded.

if you are talking about sampling a bassline while a sequence is playing cant do it.

I miss that function on the ASR10 cause I used it alot.
I wish the 2kxl did it but nope, didn't happen.

thanks. don't you guys see this as a pretty damn big oversight? this is making me think about the 4000 because my 2000xl has given me major grief as an ex-demo and after spending 9 months getting fixed, the NV slider just broke and I am in the market to get a new mpc.
