PAINT JOB ON THE BEATS!?

I guess if you chose the 1000, you like it.
I love it for the features and for the fact it's so small....
BUT, i think it's UGLY as hell!!!

I was thinkin, if i was to buy one, i would send it to FORAT or something to get it re-painted etc...but i would want it to look like the MPC60, does anyone feel the same, or has anyone done it?

I think the mpc 60 looks ugly. 2000xl is the only one that looks better than the 1000 to me. All the rest have the pads nestled amongst a mass of buttons. If you change your MPC, make it look like something cool such as a decaying tenement (the pads could be the windows)

the mpc1k is kinda alright looking, but not bad enough for me to make a project out of it. but i do did some of the painted ones ive seen

You're an idiot for repainting the thing if you don't make a screen to put the letters and button labels back on...That'd be the most difficult part. I've made my share of stencils and those letters are waaaaay too small to do by hand. You'd need some sorta machine to cut that for you...

Other than that, I really dont see why so many people think it's ugly...Looks aiight to me

personally i don't think any mpc looks attractive. the only thing i'd want to change on the 1000 is the screen. make it white or something

Before I owned one and had only seen pictures I thought it was pig ugly and stupid colours. But in reality I think it looks very cool. It works for me. I have an Alesis Micron too and they look perfect together.

Changeable end cheeks in different colours would be kinda cool. Tho very pointless

Well no not a lot in my book. But it's not so unusual I guess, there is a precedent for it. Guitarists for example, or electric guitarists at least, often choose an instrument on how it looks, rejecting possibly a better sounding instrument with more features for a prefered style and colour.

Maybe for some folks if they find their instrument more aesthetically pleasing they're more likely to use it?

The Forat custom jobs are very well done but they are very expensive.
