POWER PROBLEM!!

I just got my 60MKII from the US, but i live in the UK.
It is 110 V but in the UK we use 240V. I need a power converter and the last topic on this, whoever it was got one from a local shop, i've been phoning round ALL bloody day, and nowhere do them. WHERE can i get one????

Please help ASAP as i want to get started with the beast.

For sale all over ebay. Radio Shack online. Mouser Electronics. All online sources, no local.

The 60 uses 30 watts, so that thing supplying 45 wats is fine for 10 pounds.

you can search around for more, but this one will do either way conversion for 13 bucks.

Piece, where in UK are you based?

If London by any chance...Tottenham Court Road is Overly pack with electrical outlets that sell 'Transformers'.

I got a Japanese issues MPC 60 MK I as in the pic below...

Got a 'Step Down' transformer for converting 240Volts from out the Wall plug down to 100-110Volts needed for the MPC....

whatever u do...Dont in your excitement to use it try & plug the 2 pins on the mpc's power lead into the wall...It'll Blow your ffuse...(At best if you're lucky) & FRY your mpc at worst!!!

looked at this - seems some folks have buzzing problems with step-down tranformers, i'm not trying to have that

never had any probs with mine...now 8 or 9 yrs old...

Step up transformers do react worse to power surges and borwn outs, since it's double the swing for the 240 gear, but it's usually just a brief flicker and not serious constant buzzing, at least not in my experience.

Not sure about step down though, might be the same based on the circuitry that does the division.

Definitely a step down transformer needed if its a US MPC coming to the UK for use here in UK!!!

240Volts here out the wall divided by 100-110Volts in the USA...
