synth for bass

im lookin for a synth or module to play bass under my bass, what are some of the best, Not lookin to drop a couple g's on like a motif but sumtin with mainly good bass. Something vintage maybe? thanks

if you want vintage maybe a moog prodigy or an ARP odyssey. You can get them on ebay for six to eight hundred. Nice fat real analog no simulation.

If you want something SERIOUS for bass....check out the Casio CZ 3000....you can get one for a bill...I've had one since 95, it has since broken, but it gave me the best basses I could ask for....If you don't believe me, click my link and listen to "Break em Off" and "Cry of the Madman"....the sub bass from that thing is SICK....I'm getting another one soon.....strictly for bass....

Boogie ain't lyin, those casio CZ's are big sleeper synths with real power, and more fun to tweak than yamaha DX's which are somewhat related.

and only 100 bucks....unbeatable....I have mine right here laying next to me...I tried using it again, but my dumbazz brother left it out in the shed where it started rusting...the only downside is the button programming and gettting used to it....but I highly recommened this badboy for bass...

i've been searchin for this on ebay. should i go to a pawn shop or somethin to pick it up?

i use to have a CZ5000, it was awesome, but i didnt really use it for bass much, i used to make weird synth versions of middle eastern and asian intruments, made the best sitar ever on it. the power supply has since given way and i got rid of it. i miss it though, great envelopes

for 100 bucks you can get a tx81z, it has the deepest bass ever, full stop

if your looking for a good synth bass i would go for the roland sh101 or the sh-2. Those are pretty fat. Nice analog sound. Or you could go for the minimoog. Im not too sue how much you would have to drop for one of those for.

I use samples from a alesis nanobass; inside my mpc4000. the samples are off of hollowsun.com. They are friggin awesome, and i would guess the real deal would be even better. The samples are meant for the mpc4000, but are in wav format so you could load them up in other mpc's if you know how to create multisample programs.


Basicallyl i got a lot of bass samples from hollowsun, hes even got moog samples and other analog sample, but I really only end up using the Nanobass ones.

mophatt isnt bad, but its not analog. The filters are good. There is a pretty good variety, but nothing acoustic-it seems to me that my basslines from the mophatt get better once mixed and eq'd a little.

I still utalize the bass pgm from mpc-tutors breaks and bass. I dont know, i just really like that bass sound.

I personally use the nano rap basses alot. When i get the money im looking to buy one. My rocafella style beats have improved cause of the rap 01 bass sound-it good to layer under samples with some good bottom end already.
