usually drums first. id just lay down simple boom bap to lay samples over, then redo the drums once everything is done. but i find it easier to put drums over samples then samples over drums. maybe its time to reverse my beat making process
well it depends
when i start my first sequence
then i start with drums then when my sample is all time strechted and chopped into what i think sounds good i start to lay samples over my drums and if it dont sound right then i can go into the params screen and weak the sample to my likings,
wheb i contruct my song in song mode the i can start with the sample first and have the drums drop in as the song builds,
but i do it both ways it all depends in the mood i guess
i lay my drums first and then the samples but that may be the reason i feel my beat are missing that groove feeling that you get when ish is layed down right im going to try 2 samlpe first and see if i can get a smoother flow to my ish
i listen to the sample first. i think about how the beat's gonna sound before laying down ne sample...
i do my drums first 99.9999999999999% of the time. its very rare that i put the sample down first. i might rearrange the drums later, but they are always there first.
Yea I'll usaully lay down simple drum loop that I have already made. And then I'll mess with the melody. I thinks drums are very vital to the beat, but uually i'll spend a litle more time on the melody.
