My two cents:
I feel that it is fine if you use these. If you use a loop, it will be recognizable and thats fine, but don't lie to your friends pretending like its something that wasn't given to you like chicken feed. I know lots of toys could use these to help them get started. They'll only take them so far (to about 1993) before you relize that you can chop them up into individual drum sounds. Then you can make quite a decent drum libary out of um'. I've already cut them all up into drum sounds. It took me a good amount of time spread out into a good 6 month period. After all that i can honestly say that i recognize twice as many drums in peoples beats.
As far as them not being record quality; that is B.S. because they are all recorded from vinyl with an audiophile turntable and cartrige. It is sad, however, that some people make beats without ever experiencing the satasfaction of finding that one break on a used record for only $.25. Yes, it is time consuming to go through piles of 12 inches and very dirty. I've gotten sick a few times for sucking down clouds of dust that had been laying inbetween a couple disks, but i can honestly say that it only motivates we more to make beats. Downloading all your samples may get you tight beats, but is just not as exciting. So use these till your ears bleed, but don't foget to get your fingers dusty cause its all about having fun.

i can't be gready with ish thats not mine. I mean if you get the stuff out there then more people can spend more time making music than looking for tools. Im not trying to hide drum samples from n e one. Melodies, stabs, basslines, ect. are another story.
