met a kid in school today, who was trying to get rid of his 45' records, i got 50 of them for free!, some dope ish on them, what turntable can play 45s? i dont mean the speed, because the circle in thge middle is so much bigger, are there any modern turntables that can play them? so i dont have to tape it in the middle

there should be a silver disk that looks like a coin with a hole in it. You put that on the turn and then play it at 45.

i dont get it..if you dont have that plug just use your finger to even it out while its playing thats how i do it. and try to get the record spinning as even as possible, its not rocket science.. am i missing something??

all turntables play 45's they sell these things called 45 adapters and you can buy them at radio shack or if you go diggin you can look at some 45's to see if they got one on them and snatch it for your self.


do some homework kid so you dont get clown next time.

oh and if you come across some 78's then you will need a turntable that plays three speeds just to save you the hassle , but you can put it on your table and spin it with your finger.

haha people calm down, im just getting into 45's, i didnt buy my turntablei traded a old pair of tims for it haha, im lookin for one of them adapters

thats what i do now, and i didnt say i didnt know HOW to play them, i forgot to say that the dude who gave me the table didnt give me any of the extras that were with it, and the fact that im just getting into 45's

Until you get an adaptor, just put the record on the turntable as centrally as you can. Then, while it is spinning look straight down on it & just nudge it slightly until you can see it spinning as a perfect circle.

Word...... if the record is centered you don't necessarily need a 45 adapter, the needle and slip mat will hold it in place.
