Hey i just got my MPC DRUM cd today and i tried to put it on my mpc. After i loaded the samples i sent them to the mpc using the usb cable. But since it only reads the CF card i cant put them all on there (i got the 32mb that comes with it).

I just bought a 128mb chip for my mpc how do i put it on the internal memory instead? Whats the point of having internal memory if the comp cant read it to put samples on it.

you're gonna want the drum hits to be on the compact flash card, not in the internal memory

the chip that goes physically inside the MPC (in the little door thing on the bottom of it) is very very fast memory, this allows it to be accessed instantly, so 32 or more samples can be played at once, if you were to try doing this with the card you put in the front (compact flash) it would stutter, thats why the compact flash is for permanent storage (stays there when its off) and the ram is for temporary storage (dissapears when power is lost, or when you turn it off)
