If you where to pick from your own bag of knowledge(or own realizations) and give someone 1 piece of "advice" or a one sentance statement pertaining to the following, what would it be?:

production techniques
the mpc
sampling
drums

whatever genre you produce
music theory
music in general
creativity
sampling ethics
mixing

whatever!(really anything, just let it flow out your brain)

try to keep it short and sweet. And let it be whatever you are feeling at the moment. Just straight out state your piece of advice. Nothing needs to be too thought out either!

Build your drum kits and match the drums to each other as if you where a drummer picking out his own personal kit, be a perfectionist when it comes to this.

Make it a rule of thumb to never leave a keyboard preset "as is", instead, think about/imagine how you can better taylor the sound to your track, making it your "own sound", or only use it as a foundation to create your own sound.

once you are able to break down each individual parts of a track, you have to remember to listen to them as a whole.

Think of the bass as a link between melody and rhythm. The bass can be both and are never just one-but one more than the other.

record your sample dry and as hot as possible without clipping.

dont force creativity, but be prepared to capture it.

sample sounds that evoke immediate emotion.

clean your vinyl before you even start listening to it. Otherwise youll get lost in creativity and realize you should have cleaned it.

Finish something before you start something new. Start to finish. That include copy writing. you might not think you work this way, but until you try, you never know.

Test your beats on more then one set of speakers.

Try incorporating both sampling and keyboard beats, dont limit yourself just because you have predetermined opinions.

Listen to other genres of music to expand your music knowledge.
