If you have a track wich is not finished, give it a rest for a few weeks and start something new. If the track still sounds great after those two weeks, then finish it!

Very true, but if you are someone like me, I never finish shit! so just attempting to say you will finish it immediately is actually like saying Ill finish it in 2 weeks!

Let me rephrase or add some insight into where i was comming from: Attempt to be timely and organized. Not always possible with creativity, but its good for your legals: copyright, contracts, prices, timelines, resources, etc. For exapmple: I got like 10 tracks that are finished, but they arent because i havent copy written them, properly tracked them, or attempted to get them presentable-basically its an opportunity loss because of my bad organization.

Dont use shitty cables.

Sometimes its those small things that you dont like forking over the cash for, but make all the differance. Like a good serge protector, gruv glide, nice crates, sturdy table, comfortable chair, good needle, good headphones, good speakers.......they arent all neccesary for good beats, but definately can indirectly improve your setup and create a more friendly environment.

Learn one piece of gear before you move to the next, get the most out of what you have, but if you feel that gear is not helping you reach your limits then it may be time to move on

Never stop digging. Dig at least once a week. Even if you can only spare 5 dollars, thats 5 new records.

Inspiration often comes only in short bursts. Make sure you have a way of capturing it. If not by the MPC, use a little tape recorder (you may feel like twit at first beat-boxing/humming melodies etc into it),but.. you will have a reference to an idea.. possibly a great track...

Don't dig only for soul music! There are other genres with great sounds also. Classical, Jazz, Rock, FORIEGN!......
