Why did they change the colour?

A: Casio VL Tone was my first synth in 1978ish. The calculator rocked! Da Da Da.

B: The change in color on the MPC4000 is the Akai remix function we have been waiting for. At least they have an email contact now. ;(

I think the reason why they switched to blue was because it would offset the white buttons better.....and there are a LOT of white buttons on the 4K.

Yep, got a blue one too...and made damn sure the cd-rom face was black!

I suppose the first thing I 'sequenced' was a borrowed VL Tone 'back in the day'!

The white looks like something out of 2001: A Space Odyssey - which is a look I am feeling!
