Memory Install advice

Hey all
Just picked up a memorymodule for the MPC off ebay and i'm thinking its the wrong one. I intalled it in the spot beneath the little door on the bottom. Upon booting up, it goes into the memory check. It passes checks one through three, but on the fourth pass it says its failed. Did i get the wrong memory? Its 256 mb 144 pin sodimm. Is there something i'm missing? thanks for any help guys.

did u read my thread for the correct ram?
if it is correct, please post the make and the model number advising others that this ram does or does not work.
