Niceweis914 wrote:Thanks for all the help...BB SOUND, I've done everything you said but now no sound comes out. It used to be whatever sound of the MIDI which was highlighted would play, now I only hear the VST from the first track and not the second. I've done what you said for both MIDI tracks but the first one works and not the second. Maybe I did something wrong, any more insight would be helpful. Thanks again.

ps: Penfold should take notes on how to help people rather than just giving people his pointless opinions.

hahaha! thats not a nice thing to say.
your just one of those who liked be showed rather than to figure it out for your self. and after thew step by step help u recieved u still cant get it to work
listen, what u need to do is understand that people help in different ways, I'm the type that will help you to help your self, why show u? what do u learn if u dont understand what u are doing?

like sparq said, some forum-er's are a bit challenged....need i say any more.

What's up all.

This problem vexed me for a long time. I did finally find the solution and posted about it here on the forums. Some searching should pull it up:

Second post, there's a link to a Cubase project file I created for anyone to use. Customize the audio/MIDI prefs in Cubase and you're good to go with 16 channels of VSTis, one per channel.

Here's the link direct for those who get the gist but just want the file. You should really understand Cubase in order to use this file.

Tank...will it work for Cubase SL 2.2...also is all I have to do with the MIDI settings in Cubase inside the orange u-turn looking thing?

I don't have SL to work with but would assume it will still load in it. This was set up for SX 2. MIDI filters are set up in the button top right of a track inspector for a MIDI track, I guess it looks like a U turn though I thought it was red, I can't think right now. You set local settings per track and there's presets you can select from in the bottom right drop down. Choose Filter Channel X where X is the one you're trying to setup. In SX 2 there's a bug because it doesn't show you that it's set up but trust me it is. If you hit OK and come back to it it will be there.
