Freezing up

my MPC2000xl freezes up after I have been using it for a little while almost everytime I use it. It just locks up and numbers fill the entire screen matrix-style. I was wondering what I can do about this and what the cuases of it may be. THANX!!!

Maybe a buggy OS, try and reloading the OS.

this happens to me too. just not that frequently
i just shut it off and reboot it.
it works then
it must be in the OS
but i havent changed mine
same OS it came with three years ago
my machine works great

if this happens every time you turn it on have it checked out

happened to me once, I tried to load a ALL file and it gave me a lotta nmber and some talk about "headers" and ish, any one know whats up. Id did it over and over until I rebooted and it aint done it sicne (knock on wood) it would only do it on that file I could load anything else, but that file. MPC 3000 you know what causes this? you're the on site "inside the MPC" guru!
