I don't want to be the only mofo posting, otherwise I'll just write a book and sell it.

Exactly, why don't you work something out with Tutor and release "Beat Making on the MPC 60" E-book?

By elmacaco Tue May 17, 2005 4:12 am
hmm...

By iMack Tue May 17, 2005 5:05 am
Hmmm sounds good. I hope I get a discount :D

By elmacaco Tue May 17, 2005 5:18 am
Hmm... not sure how many would buy it, but I wouldn't do an E book, too easy to bootleg. It would have to be paper. That dude's beat tips manual gave the worst advice on how to use the 60, only use 1 track on a 99 track sequencer? Dude is buggin. But I'm not sure it would be worth the effort, which is why I wanted to do a free community one, but If I have to kep it afloat, I may just stop.

Yeah, I've heard he suggested not to sample into MPC 60, only to use it to trigger the S950. I didn't read the book, but I thought that was weird....

I dont think he cares about getting paid for his knowledge of the 60. Its more about us helping each other out, he just doesnt want to be the only one doing the writing when there are others with good knowledge sitting in the background not contributing.

I did, because unfortunately that's all I can contribute at the moment. Just got a 60 and have a lot to learn.
