importing wav files into a 3000

hello
this may be a dumb question...if so i apologize now

what is the best way of importing a wav file into the 3000?

Can it be done?

I have some wav files that i'd like to use and i have up until now just been using sounds from my disk collection that I got with my 3000.

also, does anyone know where i can get a copy of the 3000 manual online as a download?

Manual @ www.akaipro.com or the files area of yahoogroups mpc3000 list.
Wav conversion to SND on a PC via the "discussed many times in this forum" programs like "Awave Studio", "MPC Editor", "WAV2SND" ...

This has been covered / discussed a bazillion times, but, if you're in a hurry:

1. If you have a PC: go to www.midicase.com and download the MPC Editor

2. If you have a MAC: search google.com for MPC PGM Maker

THE MPC3000/MPC60 DOES NOT SUPPORT .WAV FILES!!!! ONLY .SND files The two programs I listed above will do the coversion for you. You should check out the MPC 60 FAQ / BIBLE, that Elmacaco posted in this forum. It will answer, or at the very least, give you links to the answers, that you are looking for.

Searching the forums is kinda hard because it's different than searching with say google, which is probably how most people find this site. Once you know the + useage then you're straight.
