I have searched...
I am aware the 2k classic duz not have an internal IDe/ATAPI device/controller. Neither duz it have a scsi option. Well, at least mine does not. Did not mean to make a thread to piss anyone off. I just ordered like 3 zip drives and I cannot figure it out that was all.

Thanks

dont apologize because someone else assumed you were lazy. we all searched before asking, and this cat just likes to spout off about searching for shit.

It Doesn't give the answer but maybe you can brainstorm off of it....

To Be Honest I wouldn't hesitate to call forat.....just tell them you were thinking about sending your mpc 2000 to them, but ask them how they do it...and post up.....If you live in the east coast don't call 9am est....wait till like 1pm est

MarvelGirl be easy...we know the search function is hard but sometime you gotta dig for your answer......some of us are older heads and when we first started doing this there was no forum like this so we was stuck to find it ourselves.....If there was a site like this we would have no problems diggin for the answers....and would spend hours doing so.....but I understand your fustration......so it'z cool

looks like you have to modify the motherboard for this to work. My adive would be to buy an external SCSI card reader instead of installing the zip. much more reliable.

What have you been up to these dayz?
WE need to get up when you come back up to SC.

At n-e rate, good looking out. I had no idea that you could search that way. Very interesting.

Motherboard modification is not too bad. I construct and tear down PCs all day anyways. I prob need a service manual for the MP which will be very hard to find prob.

Thanks a million for the links. Holla at me when you get a chance...

BUT, the pix did not go into extreme detail. Where, would you install the converter on the back of a 2k classic??

Intersting...

Aiight Marvel Girl...

Lets try something...

dosent look hard
"Next I installed the parts and turned the MPC's SCSI connector to the inside"

i know they blocked up there external scsi port, but i bet you run a cable to another adapter so you dont lose your ext scsi

marvel girl wrote:okay, let me break something down about using the search function that you dont seem to understand.

theres a million posts to go through, i spent no less than 4 hours searching to find out what i wanted to know and couldnt find it.

this must make me stupid in your eyes, cause obviously you think i should have been able to find it. i guess youre a mod and think your attitude is acceptable. so consider yourself e-bitchslapped for being an ass and not knowing it. and for acting like you know, still not being any help and talking **** in the process.

i knew there was a reason i hadnt posted on these boards for so long.

HUH, wow, I've NEVER seen this before. This just creeped up on me. I don't know everything, the more detailed your search the more specific your results will be, Your not dumb, I never said that and I never will.
E-bitchslapped huh, that's cool, you wanna be E-HARD you go ahead, I'm rooting for you. No one said the search will give you what you want in the first line of the first try, searching can be compared to digging for records, you might not find what you want at the first record store, do you call the owner of the shop a bytch cause he doesn't have your record, no, you would prolly keep looking in other shops, most likely NO ONE is just going to HAND you that rare record your looking for ya dig (literally)? Attitude, nah, not me, I just get tired of hearing the same whining over and over again and the info is here and has been discussed many times over, if you had been thorough in your search you would have found an answer, I'm sure of it.

But that's for a 3000. Will the same thing work the same way on a 2000?
