Hello,

I am new to the game so please be patient. I need a little help setting up my gear. I have a MPC 1000, Triton Le, em-u sound module and M-box, m-audio 2x2 midi interface and a Mackie mixer. What I want to do I set it up so I can sync the MPC and Protools together. It doesn't seem to have enough midi connection on the mpc to hook up all my gear. If somebody could help assist or even point me to some documentation I would appreciate it.

Not sure exactly how to do it because I have an M 14 interface which came with Cubase or even what you wish to do but I'll give it a shot.
If you want to sequence the triton in the MPC:

-Triton MIDI out to MPC MIDI in
>Should synch those two up
-MPC MIDI out to Triton MIDI in

(You have to do something like turn the local setting off on the triton and set the "soft thru": as track on the MPC. Not sure though, a search will get it, or even just scroll and look)

You said you want to synch the MPC and pro tools...what your going to want to do is create whatever in the MPC and then get your finished product on to pro tools and mix and whatever. That to you can find in a simple search.

I think what he wants to do is synch protools and the MPC so he can seq. with the MPC and record with protools. That way he could record individual tracks (even though he has but 2 ins) by playing his seq. and soloing the desired track (to be recorded). This is a great idea, but unfortunately I am not sure how well it will work with your setup as you have no SMPTE options.

You could try synching the MPC to Protools via MTC (midi time code) but that method can be flakey. Give it a try...
