mpc 3000 and mpc 1000 battle...

hi all, i have some questions.. i have been using my 3000 for some time now and am in love with it.. problem is that i need to move around a bit and i have a laptop... the idea of connecting a small mpc to my laptop and drag .wav files sounds so enticing..
problem is that i love the way my mpc 3k makes my drums knock, and the sequencer is priceless..
i dont care about all the other features because i use an asr 10 for my main sampling and i onlu use my mpc 3k for drums.. thats it, oh and sequencing of course..
basically my question is, how is the sound engine on the mpc1k?? how is the sequencer.. i hear the sequencer is rigid.. is that the truth????
some help would be appreciated..

You know you can send wav files to your 3000 with the MPC editor software right?

I would never make that switch. All these on the go cats end up carrying their machines more than using them, just for some sort of security thing that they can use it when they go someplace. Better to stick with what you love and not get lured by promises.
